What does the Expansion Pack include?
Each pack includes 4 clear acrylic tiles, 8 straight connectors, and 16 bolts—everything you need to expand your existing Guinea Colony habitat.

What size does this expansion add?
Each Expansion Pack adds approximately 5.44 square feet of space. For example, it can turn a 2x3 Starter Kit into a 2x5 habitat.

Can I use this to start a cage from scratch?
The Expansion Pack is designed to add on to existing setups. If you're building from scratch, you'll also need floor liners and connectors from our Build-It-Yourself Parts or Starter Kit.

Are the materials the same as the Starter Kit?
Yes! All tiles, connectors, and bolts are made from the same high-quality, 100% clear acrylic used throughout the Guinea Colony system.

How do I connect this to my existing Guinea Colony habitat?
Simply undo the one-twist bolts on the side of your habitat, add a new floor liner if needed, hook liners together using the built-in slots, and secure the new tiles using the included connectors and bolts. Everything is designed to align precisely and fasten securely with no tools required.

Can I connect this to a C&C or wire panel cage?
Yes, you can align our tiles with your existing wire panel setup and use your current connectors or zip ties to secure them. While this setup is possible, we strongly recommend transitioning fully to the Guinea Colony system. Traditional wire cages and zip ties can pose safety risks—including the potential for guinea pigs to break their teeth by chewing on metal bars or plastic ties. Our clear acrylic walls and one-twist bolt system provide a safer, smoother, and more secure alternative for your pets.

Can I expand in any direction?
Absolutely! While most people expand lengthwise (e.g., 2x3 to 2x5), our modular system allows you to expand in any shape or direction that fits your space and your pigs' needs.

Is this safe for guinea pigs?
Yes. The materials are pet-safe and the tall tile walls offer excellent protection while maintaining full visibility and airflow.
